Of all the beautiful and interesting interior design styles out there, I have to admit that there is something about the French Country look that enchants me. Maybe it’s the mix of distressed wood, light & airy colors, soft textures, and beautiful light fixtures that draw me in. This dreamy aura created for unique interiors is so often crafted in such a curated way that you can not but help to enjoy it.

"An Interior is the natural projection of the soul."

- Coco Chanel

Although French Country is not a style I come by often, being that I reside in New York City, I do adore this style when I come across it in magazines such as Veranda and Architectural Digest. After researching the collective style, as well as prominent designers that follow this aesthetic, I decided to make an attempt at creating a French Country Mood Board for design purposes.

By combining natural elements such as wood and cotton, with a soft ivory and blush color palette that compliments vintage inspired furniture pieces, I have created a space for any cottage lover to enjoy.

Take a look!

Collectively, as you can imagine there are endless possibilities to give your desired space this french country feel. Bringing European elegance and old-world character together is easy when using simple elements like a rustic coffee table, mixed metal lanterns or chandeliers, accents of brick, or even a vintage looking clock that blends the color scheme in your room.
